Ronald Jacob Jake Brandenburg, Sr. a native and lifelong resident of Mobile passed away on June 16, 2014. Jake was a 1956 graduate of Murphy High School and a 1962 graduate of the University of Alabama. He retired in 2001 from Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was a parishioner at Our Savior Catholic Church and active in the Knights of Columbus, past Grand Knight of Our Savior Counsel 11366 and Commander within Fourth Degree John Paul II Assembly 2918. Preceded in death by his parents, William Merle and Demmie Davis Brandenburg, Brother William Harold Sonny Rae Tillman Brandenburg and Sisters Ann Merline Charles Starkey and Margaret Elaine Sister Brandenburg. Survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Barbara Touche Brandenburg three children: Ronald Jacob Jake Glenda Brandenburg, Jr., Linda Sue Susie William Peck, and Debra Ann Brandenburg two grandsons, Ronald Jacob Trey Brandenburg III and William Edward Brandenburg and one granddaughter Demmie Annis Peck, nieces and nephews and many more loving relatives and friends. A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, June 19th, 2014 at 11:00 am at Our Savior Catholic Church with visitation starting at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Our Savior Catholic Church located at 1801 Cody Road South, Mobile, AL 36695 or 251 6336762.
