Ronald Garling

Ronald J. Garling, age 68, of Mobile, entered his eternal home on Monday, August 16, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Ronald served his country in the United States Air Force after graduating from high school. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 38 years, serving in various roles including Postmaster. He was a faithful and active member of Living Hope in Saraland. Ronald was a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather and great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Donna Garling, and brother, Dave Garling.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Mildred Garling; sons, Clifford Delane Garling (Samantha) and Darron Garling (Brandy); siblings, Doug Garling (Harriet) and Karen Garling Rex (Tom); grandchildren, Jocelyn Garling, Stephen Kyle Garling, Lane Garling, Ethan Garling, Hannah Garling, Isabella Garling, Justin Kole Madle, Paige Madle, and Olivia Collier; great-grandchild, Addison Stauter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Living Hope Church in Saraland, followed by a celebration of life service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. To those planning on attending, the church asks that face masks be worn.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
