Roy Burchfield
February 17, 1947 — June 23, 2019
Roy Oscar Burchfield, a native of Drew, MS and current resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the age of 72.
Roy was a retired Vietnam Army Veteran; served his country for 20 years and had a love for animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Upton Burchfield, Sr. and Fannie Sanders Burchfield; and three brothers, Clarence Upton Burchfield, Jr., Jerry Ray Burchfield and Charles William Burchfield.
His survivors include his wife, Diana Faye Brooks Burchfield; three sons, Michael, Christopher and Gabriel Saxon; two sisters, Diane Burchfield McDaniel and Elizabeth Pauline “Polly” Burchfield Stinespring; one brother, Melvin Burchfield; grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM.
