Russell Wayne Johnston
Born: November 6th, 1947 in MobileDied: October 30, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents: JR and Felma L. Johnston and is survived by his wife Jennifer Cooper Johnston, one son Scott Johnston, one daughter Regina J. Lapeyrouse husband Terry and 3 loving grandchildren: Austin Lapeyrouse, Kristina Carollynn Lapeyrouse and Madison Grace Lapeyrouse.
Russell was a loving husband, caring, generous father and friend. He was a loyal employee at Barnett Millworks in Theodore, AL for 33 years. He graduated from C.F. Vigor High School in Prichard, AL in 1968. He was a graduate of the University of South Alabama with a degree in business. He was totally devoted to his childhood sweetheart and wife of 44 years Jennifer and enjoyed watching Alabama and New Orleans Saints football, the Houston Astros along with coaching little league baseball at Mims park for years. He will be remembered for his incredible generosity, his kind loving heart and most of all his love for his family.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at UAB transplant hospital, Providence Hospital especially in the ICU wing, Mobile Infirmary Rotary Rehab and the staff at Mobile Rehab Hospital for all their incredible kindness and consideration throughout his multiple liver transplants, heart surgeries and recovery and rehabilitation. The family would also like to thank doctors Bynum and Eckoff at UAB transplant hospital in Birmingham, Dr. Charla Evans Mobile and Dr. Mike Ledet Mobile for all their time and consideration of the family throughout the years.
