Sara Stephenson

Sara Frances Bowen Stephenson, a native of Panola, AL, longtime resident of Mobile, AL and current resident of Fairhope, AL, died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the age of 90. Sara was a member of Government Street Baptist Church; loved the beach; enjoyed traveling; spending quality time with her family and friends; was an avid Alabama Football fan and loved to "go and do". She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James "Buddy" Reginald Stephenson; a daughter, Myla Stephenson; seven brothers and one sister. Her survivors include her daughter, Vicki Ikerman; one grandson, Shane (Melanie) Ikerman; two great-grandchildren, Ellis and Hunter Ikerman; two brothers, Irby Bowen and Marion Bowen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:30 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
