Sheila Lynn Picard was born on October 20th, 1951, and left this old world on December 7th, 2025.
She was born in Pascagoula, MS and raised in nearby Moss Point. Sheila moved to Mobile, AL in 1983 where she lived for her remaining years.
Sheila was preceded in death by her father, Leon Hall, mother Elnora Hall (Ladner), sister Brenda Johnson (Billy Joe Johnson), brother Gary Hall (Patsy Hall) and her best friend, Helen Kennedy (Robert Kennedy).
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Norman Picard, three children (all of Mobile, AL) Walker Picard (Lauren), Brett Picard (Lauren) and Jolyn Rodgers (Brad). Sheila is also survived by two stepsons, Larry Picard (Kelly) of Mobile, AL and Jason Picard (Jennifer) of Cleveland, GA. Sheila adopted and raised one grandson as her own, Trip Picard of Mobile, AL. She has two surviving siblings, Darlene Perryman (Henry) of Moss Point, MS and Kenneth Hall (Cynthia) of Louisville, MS.
Her grandchildren included Alexander and Vera Picard, John, Olivia and Christopher Picard, William and Nora Rodgers, Gabrielle Mosher, Philip, Caroline, Chase, Luci Ann and John Rowan Picard, Hattie and Abigail Picard.
Sheila never met a stranger and never hesitated to help someone in need. She made friends everywhere she went, from her years in beauty supply sales, to her many weekends doing her favorite thing, estate sales. Everything she did in life was rarely for her own benefit; she found the most joy in doing for others, especially her children, grandchildren, family and her kids' friends she "adopted" along the way. She was Sheila, mom, grandma, friend. Never has there been and never will there ever be one quite like her. Her absence will be felt deeply, and she will be missed by all.
A celebration of Sheila's Life is tentatively scheduled for early January, after New Years. Details will be shared as soon as possible.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
