Sherri D. Clayton, age 67, of Clay, Alabama, walked peacefully into the arms of her heavenly father on Friday, July 31, 2026, at The Retreat, Hospice by Saad.

Sherri dedicated more than 30 years of service to Nucor Steel of Birmingham. She loved spending time with her family, cheering on her favorite player at their many sporting events, going to the beach, and cheering on Alabama football.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Amanda Langley (Josh); grandsons, Noah and Hudson Langley; brothers, Randy Isbell (Robin), Robert Cleere (Beth) Bruce Isbell, and Clyde Isbell; sister, Terri Self (William); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Sherri was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Clayton; stepson, Jason Clayton; parents, Lloyd and Ophelia Isbell; brothers, David Isbell and Larry Isbell; sister, Judy Isbell.

A memorial service will be held at Clay Fellowship Church on August 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Fred Grady will lead the service.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Mitchell Cancer Institute and Saad Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

Sherri will be remembered with love by her family and all who knew her.
