Shirley Mae Callaway Diamond, a native of Salisbury, MD and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the age of 80. She was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church for 49 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, William F. Callaway and Elsie Bruce Callaway; her husband, Leon J. Diamond, and all of her siblings. Her survivors include three sons, Keith (Phyllis) Diamond, and Tim (Jacelyn) Diamond and Kevin (Maggie) Diamond; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher (Melissa), Ryan, Courtney, Ariana (Garner), Andria, Callie, Julia and Luke; four great-grandchildren, Abby, Mya, Ian and Elliana; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Elder Keith Diamond, will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
