Thelma Soulis

Thelma Dorthory Turner (Davis) Soulis passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Mobile Nursing and Rehabilitation LLC. She was born Saturday November 22, 1924, at home, in the Rose Hill Community of Dozier, AL. She was preceded in death by her father, William (Bill) Turner, her mother Maude Cumpton Turner, her sister Odell (Sister) Rawls, her brother John Wallace (Mutt) Turner, her brother Joe Turner, and her husband Jay Donald Soulis. She married Jay on April 16, 1955 and was married for 38 years before he was called home on August 2, 1993. She loved a wide range of things from traveling with friends, working in her garden, and doing crossword puzzles. She also found peace in listening to the birds on the comfort of her front porch. Her beautiful memory will be carried on by her child, William R. (Bob) Soulis and his wife Charlotte A. Soulis; her Grandchildren Paige Deitz (Jimmy Deitz), MaryAnn Hunt-Soulis (Becca Hunt-Soulis), Christie Meeks (Eric Meeks); her Great-grandchildren Taylor Deitz, Laney Deitz, Henley Hunt-Soulis, Knox Hunt-Soulis, Connor Meeks and LIvi Meeks; Nieces & Nephews Vickie Strickland, Dow Strickland, Ronnie Turner (Linda Turner), John Turner, Carrie Turner, Joe Mason (Patricia Mason), Chris Mason, Kim Mason, Sharon Bryant (Phillip Bryant), Jessica Bryant Smith (Ray Smith Sr.), Georgie Alacia Bryant, Tracy Powell.

Due to COVID-19, restrictions there will be a grave-side service only. The service will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery in Brantley, AL. (Spring Hill Cemetery 899 Spring Hill Road Brantley, AL 36009). In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to either of the following:
