Theodore Lawson, Sr.

Theodore Hart Lawson, Sr. of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on November 19, 2023, age 80.

Ted was born on June 10, 1943, to Frank Lawson and Mildred Hightower. After graduating from Murphy High School, he attended the University of Alabama where he developed a lifelong passion for all Alabama sports. Ted was an avid fisherman. His love for fishing and boating helped him out when he taught for the Mobile County Power Squadron. He worked as a road and bridge superintendent for Mobile County.

Ted was a devoted family man, evidenced by his 50-year marriage to Maggie and the relationships he had with his family. His presence will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mildred Lawson.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Maggie Lawson; children, Patricia (Steve) Leger, Theodore "Teddy" Lawson, Jr. (Katherine); grandchild, Stephen Leger (Katie); great-grandchildren, Annalise, Logan, and Lawson Leger; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Chaplain Phillip Snodgrass officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday November 24th beginning at 1:00 pm.
