Tommy R. Sutton 89, of Theodore, Al. passed away on August 27, 2022. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Tommy R. Sutton was married to Judith M. Sutton for 25 years. Tommy is preceded in death by his mother, father, six siblings and two sons, Roy, and Ronnie Sutton. Tommy is survived by his daughter Sherri D. Gilmore, daughter in law Barbra Sutton, stepdaughters Tracey Burnette, Melissa Dees, and Allison Harris. Tommy Sutton is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Tommy R. Sutton was born in Theodore, Al. and attended Theodore High School until he joined the Army in 1950 where he served in the Korean War, he was honored as the recipient of the Purple Heart and distinguished service medal with three bronze stars.
Tommy went on to spend the remainder of his career with Lanier Construction Company until retirement.
Tommy R. Sutton (Paw) was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He taught his family the importance of hard work and dedication and was always available to lend a helping hand to all. Tommy took joy in attending sporting events and activities of his grandchildren. He was a faithful member of First Baptist
Tillmans Corner, where he enjoyed singing with the Amazing Grey Choir and attended services and worshiping the Lord.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be sent to the All For One Fund at First Baptist Tillmans Corner.
