Vera Cowart

Vera Mae House Cowart, a native of Mobile, AL, died Friday, February 21, 2020. Vera retired from Food World after 33 years of service. She was the daughter of Johnnie House and Elvie Godwin House, and was raised in Frisco City, AL. She was married to Leo Cowart. Vera was mother to Althea, Leo, Jr., Mark and Mitchell Cowart. She had two brothers and sisters, Rudolph, William, Eula Fay and Anne House. Vera is survived by her children, brother, W. H., and sister, Eula Fay; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at 12 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Friday morning at 10:00 AM.
