Virginia Miller

October 9, 1946 — August 8, 2025

On Friday, August 8th, Virginia Kathleen (Kitty) Miller passed away peacefully at her home in Theodore, AL, surrounded by family. Kitty is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Merl Miller, her parents, Allen Barfield Christie Sr., and Johnnie Ott Christie, and her siblings Allen Barfield Christie Jr., Frank Russell Christie Sr., Julia Leigh Glover, and Carrie Lynn Miller. Kitty is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Christie, three children, Allen Aaron (Alice), Angela Robertson, and John Andrew Miller (Angie), six grandchildren, Misty Stevens (Brady), Alissa Robertson, Chance Robertson, Jessica Miller, Emily Miller, and Rachel Miller, and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Laney Stevens. Aunt Kitty will also be missed by her ten nieces and nephews and twenty-one great-nieces and nephews.

Kitty lived a long and full life with her husband, frequently traveling across the country on a Goldwing Motorcycle and spending time with their dear friends David and Rita Summerlin and Kathy and Jack Perkins. She retired as the secretary for her sisters’ law firm “Glover and Miller,” where she had great relationships with many clerks and administrators. She was an avid Alabama Fan and had an endless collection of cats, real and porcelain.

Kitty was a lifelong member of Theodore United Methodist Church, where she often served in the nursery, allowing other church members to attend weekly services. Her friends and family will miss her sweet demeanor, cheek kisses, and frequent joking. However, knowing that all Christie siblings are together again will bring us peace.
