Voncile L. Orr, 94, a native of McKenzie, Alabama, and longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on October 21, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1932.

Voncile enjoyed spending time at social gatherings, cooking, and reading a good book. She had a particular fondness for clothes and fashion and enjoyed dressing up for special occasions. Family and friends will remember the stories, conversations, and laughter shared over the years. She was a member of St. John's Methodist Church in Mobile.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Rhodes (Kathleen); grandsons, Jacob Rhodes (Chloe) and Landon Rhodes; great-grandchildren, Stirling and Carrington Rhodes; stepchildren, Suzanne Orr Gramlich (Frank) and James Orr; step-grandchildren, Tony Orr, Vicki Goss, Jamey Orr, Jennifer Barker, and Angela Pitts; sister-in-law, Jewel Lee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Voncile was preceded in death by her husband, Winston "Boots" Orr; parents, Clifford and Trudy Lee; brothers, Samuel Lee (Lillian) and Winnard Lee; sisters, Agnes Flowers (Jesse) and Mary Clara Smith (T.W.); and stepson, Mark Orr.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the many relatives who generously gave their time, love, and support in caring for Voncile throughout the years. Their dedication and willingness to help in so many ways meant more than words can express. The family also extends special thanks to the wonderful staff at Gulf Coast Health and Rehab for the kindness, compassion, and attentive care they provided. Their commitment to Voncile's comfort and well-being brought great peace of mind to the family and will always be appreciated.

Voncile's graveside service will be held at 2 P.M., on Friday, October 30th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M., on Friday, October 30th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
