Vonda Lee Barnes Manley, age 83, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.  Vonda was born in Chickasaw County, MS on February 5, 1936.  She was the wife of George Manley. They were married on February 11, 1956 and shared 63 years of marriage together.

Vonda is survived by her husband, George Manley; her daughter, Linda “Susie” Baker, and her son, Ted E. Manley; 6 grandchildren, Gayle Saulters, Nathan Manley, Kristina Stefanko, Eric Manley, Suzaun Mayfield, and Haley Stallings; her 9 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Mikala, Bella, Brock, Ryker, Athena, Ava, Devin and Benjamin; her 3 sisters, Frankie Finzi, Lois Bullwinkle and Connie Strong; several cousins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.  Vonda was preceded in death by her father, Frank Barnes and her mother, Lily Mae Hill Boghich; 2 sisters, Raenell Bell and Doris Mathews and her daughter, Jean Nolen.  The funeral services, officiated by Pastor Shawn Major, will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The visitation will be Friday night, August 23, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.  Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.  Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
