William Clayton Brown, a native of Roanoke, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the age of 86. He was a retired contractor and was the owner and operator of Brown Enterprises. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Albert Brown and Catherine Lillie Heptinstall Brown; two sons, Clayton Eugene Brown and William Jerry Brown; two brothers, Clinton Marvin Brown and James Albert Brown; two sisters, Runette Brown Haynes and Annie Pearl Brown Parrish; a grandson, Michael Dave Davis and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Michael Turner and Hadley Brooke Turner. His survivors include his wife, Sylvia Merle Nordan Brown; two sons, James Howard (Patsy) Brown and Larry Wayne Brown; two daughters, Patricia Brown (Gary) Lambert and Pamela Brown (Buddy) Merritt; six step-children, Paul Morton, Teresa Morton (Joey) Stapleton, Kenneth (Terry) Morton, Alyssa Morton (Dan) Smith, Jennifer Morton Deakle and Gina Henderson (Justin) Rogers; one brother, Clines Brown; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
