William Harvey, Jr.

November 25, 1935 — June 20, 2014

William Jackson Harvey, Jr., affectionately known as Bill, a native and longtime resident of Mobile, Al., passed away quietly at his home on June 20, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Charles Lynn Harvey. Mr. Harvey honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp and was a devoted member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He loved his family, hard work and the New Orleans Saints. A member of the Krewe of Bacchus in New Orleans, few individuals loved Mardi Gras more than Mr. William.
Mr. Harvey is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Joanne Orso Harvey, one son, William Keith Harvey Ashley, four grandsons, William Keith Harvey, Jr., Reid Ashton Harvey, Andrew Garland Harvey and Dexter Corte Harvey, three sisters, Juanita Keeton, Warner Robbins, Ga., Betty Jean Williams Lee, Ocala, Fl., and Shirley Ann Mixon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 23, 2014, at 2pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 122pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Marys Home, 4350 Moffett Road, Mobile, Al. 36604
