William Russell Norgren, resident of Mobile, AL, was born on January 2nd, 1940, in Mineola, New York, and passed on June 16th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. During childhood, William spent his free time with his grandparents, John and Helen Russell, traveling across the country. After high school, William entered the United States Navy where he was stationed as a submarine tender. Following an honorable discharge, William attended the ITT Technical Institute where he earned an associate degree in instrumentation technology. He went on to work at the Kennedy Space Center focusing on several missions before settling in Mobile with his wife and son. He found the most joy in spending time with his wife in the mountains of North Carolina and his family at home who will all miss him dearly.

William is preceded in death by; his mother, Elizabeth Norgren; his father, William Ralph Norgren; and his brother, Robert Norgren.

He is survived by; his dear wife, Joan Norgren; his brother Richard Norgren; his son, Russell Norgren; his granddaughters, Madeline Norgren and Kaylee Norgren; and many other relatives and friends.

William's funeral service will be held on June 27th, 2026, at 1 P.M.; at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on June 27th from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M., at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
