Mr. William ( Bill ) Rawson, age 97 and a resident of Mobile, Al, passed from this life on Saturday, March 5. Bill was born and raised in Birmingham but later moved to Auburn in 1948 to complete a degree in Pharmacy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Leone Rawson, in 2001. Bill is survived by his sons Mark (Kim) of Mobile and Don Rawson of Metairie, Louisiana. Also survived by granddaughters Erin ( Seth) Holtz and Leah ( Dudley) Hines, both residing in Birmingham, along with two great-grandchildren, Luke and Ansley Holtz. Bill worked as a pharmacist for 9 years at Albright and Wood Drug Store and 5 years at Bauer's Drug Store in Mobile. He later was the owner and pharmacist at Cottage Hill Rexall Pharmacy for over 15 years. As an ordained Deacon, he served many years at Central Presbyterian Church, later joining Spring Hill Presbyterian. Bill enjoyed photography and traveling. He left many beautiful photographs for his family to treasure.
