Winifred McMillan, a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully on May 17th, 2023 at the age of 93 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 5th, 1929 in Mobile to her parents and grew up in her city.
Winifred led a remarkable life. She worked with dedication at the family business "Park A Car" which is still flourishing today. Winifred has always been committed to serving her community. She was the First Secretary of The Cystic Fibrosis Chapter of Mobile.
Winifred had a passion for ballroom dancing which she shared with her husband later in life. Her warmth and grace inspired everyone around her and left such a positive impact on their lives.
A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Winifred will be deeply missed by all who knew her loving heart and kind soul. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Bond; grandchildren Scott Berberich and Sherry Stillman; and sister Mary Louise McHugh.
She is predeceased by her loving husband John Arvin McMillan, one sister, Betty Ann Williford; and a brother Joseph Douglas Mobley.
The visitation and funeral service that honors Winifred's life will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home located at 6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile AL 36619 on May 19th, 2023. The visitation will begin at 1:00pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm where family and friends can come together in memory of this wonderful woman.
Though saddened by the loss of such a remarkable person, we draw comfort knowing that she lived a full life filled with joy and love. Winfred's contribution to society and her commitment to family will forever remain an inspiration to us all.
