Dawn Andrews

Dawn Collette Andrews born October 20, 1943, to Daisy and Henry Wilkerson passed this life to her reward July 29, 2022 at the age of 78.

She was born in Grovehill Alabama before moving to Mobile where she lived the majority of her life with the exception of the few years she resided in Birmingham.

Dawn was a lover of life, people and her family. She quit school early and began her adult life raising her children. She was a hard worker and never met a stranger. Her smile could fill a room and you never had to question where she stood.

She was fiercely independent and stubborn, BUT it was that determination that made her a survivor. She never quit. At the age of 40 she returned to school obtaining her GED and eventually a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources.

She was a great mother, grandmother and friend. The latter years of her life were lived tending her pets until her dementia was discovered and was unable to live alone. She took up residency at Gordon Oaks and loved it! She eventually succumb to the fruit of that disease.

She was preceded by all of her siblings and parents. She has gone ahead of her kids; Paul (Michelle) Musgrove, Michelle (Eddie) Tanner, and Patrick (Kim) Casey. She is also survived by Hannah and Marhi Musgrove, Aaron and Corey Tanner, J (Raven) Casey and Lauryn, 2 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

She was loved greatly and will be missed immensely.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation at 1pm and service at 2pm.
