Elizabeth Simmons

February 24, 1933 — January 7, 2021

E. Elizabeth Simmons, 87, of Mobile Alabama passed away peacefully after a long battle with alzheimer’s, January 7, 2021. Elizabeth was born in Excel, AL and raised in Mobile by her parents.
She married and had 7 children, William (Debbie) Johnson, Ronald (Betty) Johnson, Richard Johnson, Renee’ (Skip) Stevens and Melanie Edwards. She is preceded in death by parents Gertrude & Herman Constantine, and children Melvin Johnson and Anthony (Keith) Johnson.
In 1987 she married the love of her life Bradas Simmons. She not only gained a loving, giving husband she gained seven step children. Pamela Douglas, Brad Simmons, Cathy Simmons, Mark (Ashley) Simmons, Paul (Tanya) Simmons. Preceded in death by Cynthia Bogert and Carol Simmons.
She will be greatly missed by all the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Elizabeth & Brad were married 34 blissful years. They both retired over 30 years ago which enabled them to travel and spend lots of time together. When health problems arose, they stayed at home where Brad catered to her every need or desire creating many memories. To say the least she was a pampered wife.
There will be a viewing and internment at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 11:00 -12:00. Followed by a graveside service conducted by Elizabeth’s husband Rev. Brad Simmons.
