Gertrude Saranthus

Gertrude  Stoker Saranthus. Born in St. Stephens, AL and a resident of Theodore, AL died on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Mrs. Saranthus attended Leroy High School in St. Stephens, AL, retired from State of Alabama ABC Board, she loved gardening and being outdoors.

She was the daughter of Claudia Ollie Bailey and Thomas J. Stoker. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Edison Saranthus, son; Donald Walker Saranthus, Sr; sisters, Doris Stoker Napier and Gleandine Stoker; brothers, Harold,  William, Morris Stoker and TJ Jr. Stoker.

Gertrude is survived by her three sons, Howard (Ruby) Milne, Phillip Charles (June) Saranthus, Thomas Warren (Rachel) Saranthus; thirteen grandchildren, Sandy, Candy, Misty, Cody, Chance, Dakota, Kaley, Don Jr., Heather, Joshua, Tommy, Wayne and Gina; twelve great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9am until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
