Harriett Garner

Harriett Abbie Rae Petree Garner, 99. Our beloved Mother passed away on June 18, 2020, in Mobile AL just 7 weeks shy of her 100th birthday. A graveside service was held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Saturday, June 20, 2020. She was a gifted seamstress and quilter as long as her eyesight would allow until about age 98, and she was an avid reader. She married Charles Walter Garner Sr., in 1941. She left us many memories and two children, Charles Walter Garner, Jr. (Ruth) of Lubbock TX and Martha Jane Snell of Mobile and six grandchildren (Scott Garner of Los Alamos NM), Erin Settle (Michael) of Lubbock TX, Mark Garner (Sarah) of Minneapolis MN, Shannan Royster (Verne) of Mobile, Jeff Robinson (Heidi) of Mobile and Roger Robinson of Los Angeles CA and six great grandchildren. She outlived all 6 of her siblings and her husband of 50 years. Hers was a life well-lived. Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Harriett's name to the Food Bank or Meals on Wheels in your area.
