More than the love Jack had for his family was the love he had for his Savior, Jesus. Jack was a member of First Baptist Tillman's Corner where he was ordained a deacon and served as a Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years. Jack excelled in the Army and earned many service medals and awards, including: The Army Meritorious Service Medal (1), Army Commendation Medal (2), and Army Achievement medal (4) plus many more. Jack served as a city police officer in the Birmingham, AL area and as an Alabama State Trooper for many years. Jack's life was a life of service as he coached his son David's little league baseball teams. He volunteered to film his older son Jack's high school football games so the coaches could evaluate the players' performance.
