Joseph Canady

July 15, 1943 — March 24, 2020

Joseph (SloJoe) was born in Mobile, Alabama in July of 1943. He was proceeded in death by his Mother Will Ima Canady, his Father Oscar William Canady his Brother Charles William Canady and his son David Wayne Canady. Joe is survived by his Son Joseph Allan Canady JR (Little Joe), his favorite big sister Sara Palmer, his favorite baby sister Sue Nabb, several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews. He leaves behind his loyal companion Squirt who was his service dog and copilot and his best friend. Joe was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Navy for many years. He was an avid motorcycle rider and an active member of the Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets MC. He loved his family, friends, Alabama football, his Hellcat, and any adventure or trouble he could get into. Special thanks to his caregiver, Judy Holley, she took care of him for many years and knows what she meant to him. In lieu of flowers the family requests you make a donation to one of the following charities: Veteran Services, Cancer Research, Heart Association. Graveside services and interment are scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM in Mobile Memorial Gardens with visitation from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
