Judy Carol Underwood, 68, went to her heavenly home on July 15, 2021, after battling pulmonary fibrosis. Judy was born on February 16, 1953 in Dothan, Alabama to her parents, James Earl Strickland and Carolyn Morris Strickland. She graduated from Rehobeth High School in Dothan, Alabama. Judy married Wilson Underwood in 1971. They raised their daughter, Keri in Marietta, Georgia. They moved to Nixa, Missouri in the early 90s. They moved to Texas a few years later and lived there until 2012 where they moved to and retired in Mobile, Alabama. After losing Wilson in 2016, Judy struggled with pulmonary fibrosis but still fought to help raise her grandson, Logan. She was always doing things with him and helped volunteer at church as much as she could. She loved to decorate and participate in the ladies activities at Clearwater Church. She had a passion for serving like Christ did. She loved being a Mother "Gabby" to Logan. She was an amazing Mother, Gabby, and friend. She was and a great example of what love is. She loved to be silly and laugh but she was compassionate and kind. Judy is survived by her daughter, Keri Underwood, her grandson, Logan Underwood, and her brother, Jimmy Strickland and his sons along with numerous other relatives.

A celebration of life will be held at Clearwater Christian Ministries 2524 Newman Road, Mobile, AL 36608 on Saturday, July 24th at 1pm. Brother John Tucker will officiate the service. A reception will follow. An additional service will be held on Saturday, July 31st at Madrid Baptist Church near Dothan, Alabama. Visitation will be at 11 and Service at 11:30. The family requests that in lieu of flowers individuals should consider sending donations in Judy's memory to the Building Fund at Clear Water Christian Church.
