Myrtis Anne Austin

1947-2019

A native of Repton, AL and resident of Mobile, AL died on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the age of 72. Ms. Austin was a graduate of Davidson High School and Auburn University. She was a school teacher for 22 years, locally at Fonde Elementary, also a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She loved cooking and especially loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Robert (Robin) Austin; sister, Marilyn Austin; nieces, Julia (William) Atwood and Emily (Brian) Stack; nephew, Robert (Pamela) Austin, Jr; six great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 1-2 PM followed by graveside services and interment in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
