Mary F. Coburn Jackson, age 79, of Grand Bay, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father Udell Coburn, her mother Eula Mae Coburn, her brother James Kent Coburn, her husband Dowling Zemon Jackson, her son John Dwight Jackson, her granddaughter Melissa Nicole Jackson, and her great-grandson Joseph Larkin Walker Jr. She is survived by her children, Darrel, Dwayne, Donnie, and Disa Jackson all of Grand Bay, Alabama; her grandchildren Regan Jackson, Neecy Jackson, Megan Nicholson, Dione Walker, Shane Husley, Sean Husley and Lil' Kevin Smither; her great-grandchildren Ayden Jackson, Cailan Nicholson, Juliana Walker, Preston Upchurch, Colette Nicholson, Jacelyn Walker, Greyson Husley, Coen Nicholson, Murphy Nicholson, Peyton Husley, and Piper Smither; her brothers Ellis, Mike, and Milton Coburn; and her long time fur baby companion Jake.
Mary was a devout Christian, who loved the Lord. She was known by many as "Sister" and thought of by others as a special lady. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching game shows, and spending time with family. She was a soft-hearted woman that was loving and optimistic, who would do anything for her family, friends, and even strangers. You could always count on her if you needed to talk. She was the glue who held her family together.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 12:00 PM at The Cowboy Baptist Church: 11835 Argyle Rd. Irvington, AL 36544. Rusty Lewis will officiate services, with pallbearers being Ayden Jackson, Shane and Sean Husley, Josh Welsh, Cory Nicholson, and Richard Smith. Visitation will be held Tuesday 11-12 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
