Mildred Watson

June 10, 1924-May 6, 2020

Mildred Ruth Cochran Watson, a native of Ruleville, MS and longtime resident of Saraland, AL, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Burt Cochran and Ola Norris Cochran; her husband, John T. Watson; her brother, John H. Cochran and her sister, Edna Rhodes. Her survivors include her daughter, Sherry Watson; her son, Donald (Virginia) Watson; her brother, Roy (Jo Ann) Cochran; other relatives and friends. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved spending time in the mountains because, she said, the mountains restored her soul. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 12:00 Noon until service time in Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Watson’s name may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1655 McGill Avenue, Mobile, AL 36604.
