Robert "Bob" P. Carter, age 82, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Bob was preceded in death by a son, Brent Carter; stepson, Johnny Shaw; sister, Jeanette Moore; parents, W.M. and Dorothy Carter; and his grandparents.

He leaves behind with loving memories his wife, Madeline C. Carter; daughter, Stacey (Eugene) Kaminski; son, Trent Carter; twin brother, Dr. William "Bill" Carter; stepson, Danny (Shannon) Shaw; 8 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was born on September 3, 1938 in Crossett, Arkansas and grew up there. He loved to talk about Crossett, Arkansas, and it's "small town" people. Bob graduated from the University of Arkansas and served his country in the United States Army. During Bob's life, he worked for companies in heavy construction in the southern states, even obtaining a pilot license to fly private planes to jobs. During one job, he flew a candidate for an Arkansas state office. This candidate later became the President of the United States.

Bob moved to Mobile, Alabama in the 1990s and remarried. He was active in his church, St. Dominic Catholic Church and liked to help his neighbors. Bob loved to play golf and go freshwater fishing, especially for crappie. After retiring, he traveled with his wife and family to many national parks, always finding different golf courses to play on. He enjoyed having many golfing buddies throughout the years. Bob loved his family and friends and he will be deeply missed, but we know he is with God and watching over us!
