Sherry Cockrell

Sherry Frances Pearson Cockrell died on April 1, 2021 at the age of 81 in Daphne. Prior to living on the Eastern Shore, she resided in Mobile where she worked at Mobile Infirmary and enjoyed modeling and directing fashion shows until becoming a homemaker. She was a loving wife and mother who was also known to many as the "neighborhood mom." Sherry will be remembered for her deep love of family and friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Jerlene Pearson of Mobile. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James W. Cockrell and their two sons, Dr. Mike Cockrell (Stephanie) and Tim Cockrell (Chrissy), her sisters Jo Ann Glasscock and Jeri Pearson (Herb Coley), her brother-in-law Frank Cockrell (Susan). She is also survived by her grandchildren Carson Cockrell, Andrea Stakely (Johnston), Bailey Cockrell, Erica Cockrell, Pearson Cockrell, Cage Cockrell and many other loving family members.

A graveside service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens at noon on Monday, April 5, 2021. The family suggests in lieu of flowers to make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 501, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
