ASPINWALL

Thurman Raymond (T. Ray) Aspinwall said “Hasta Luigi” to his mortal life on the evening of Friday, June 5, 2020 at the age of 68 because of congestive heart failure after several years of declining health. And probably survived as long as he did thanks to his sister in-law Debbie who would help care for him whenever she was needed, which was always. He leaves behind his wife Cindy of 38 years, his children Mary(James his buddy) Hoopes and Trey (Alea his favorite daughter-in-law) Aspinwall, and his siblings William(Bubba), Mary, and Larry Aspinwall and lots more family who loved him.

T. Ray was a very unique and social individual who touched the lives of all who knew him. Even after retiring from the Mobile Police Department he stayed active in local groups and events joining the 50’s Plus Club, Mardi Gras, and Deep South Amateur Radio to reconnect with old friends as well as make new friends from all over the world that shared his same interests. He never met a stranger but those who knew him would tell you he was strange.

He was a Foodie through and through. He was rarely seen at events without a camera in his hand and a fork in his pocket, and while at home he could be found watching Youtube videos learning how to cook various meals in his Ninja Foodi.

T.Ray was also an accomplished traveler. He took thousands of pictures to prove that. Traveling by car, by bus, by ship or train, even by plane he’d go anywhere with Cindy by his side especially if there was a ghost story and a senior discount involved.
