Virgie Rhodes

Virgie Lee Rhodes, age 97, passed on October 6, 2021 in Mobile, AL. She was born to Arthur Bohannon and Mary Daniels Bohannon on March 6, 1924. Mrs. Rhodes was a loving and devoted mother to her children. As a single parent, she handled many of the daily trials of parenthood with grace and always made sure her children made it to the ball field. She was a talented homemaker and loved sewing quilts and cooking delicious meals for her children. In her golden years she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and bird watching. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary Bohannon and daughter, Pamela Lee Rhodes.
She is survived by her sons; David Rhodes and Daniel Rhodes; granddaughter, Savannah Sue Rhodes; two sisters; other relatives and many friends.
Services will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 with visitation from 9:30 am until the service at 10:00 am.
