Wilford Jackson Files, a native of Walker County, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the age of 82.

He was a US Army veteran; a member of Riverside Baptist Church where he served as Deacon; was retired from Consolidated Pipe and Supply and enjoyed golf.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Jackson Files and his mother, Ila Jane Johnston Anthony.

His survivors include the love of his life and wife of 63 years, Margie Dale Cook Files; his daughter, Janice Files (Chris) Snoeberger; his son, Jackie Burton (Brooks) Files; three brothers, Jerry Wayne (Sheila) Johnson, Tommy Ray (Debbie) Johnson and Elzie Curtis (Sandra) Johnson; four grandchildren, Chad Jackson (Ashleigh) Files, Rebecca Jane (Mark) Nazario, Heather Skye Files and Mitchell Greyson Files; two great-grandchildren, Jett Michael Nazario and Bennett Oliver Files; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
